<lj:music>Red Hot Chili Peppers - Areoplane</lj:music>

When human error is punished too severely, and when too many examples of this are made, then humans become less than human. They become machines. They lose their ability to express themselves. Why would anyone want to destroy the most beautiful gift someone can give? Business entrepreneurs know the answer. When free thinking is punished, people become efficient. They may be sheep, but those sheep can make a mean Whopper. I was reminded of my days as a Whopperjackhut kid by my old nametag. I thought of Joe’s methods of running the place, and I realized that no matter how efficient his employees may have been (they weren’t really, but that's not the point), he still killed their most beautiful contribution to society from the moment they entered the door to the moment they left. What if Joe was the government? What if free thinking was punished in every day life? If you’ll take a quick glance around you, you’ll know that the ultimate result has been gaining ground. Bleeping out swear words in movies, edited versions of CDs and the banning of some literature is only the beginning. Soon creativity will fade away and movies, music and books will all die. That’s not the world I want to live in. Human expression is beautiful, and those which seek to destroy everyone’s most precious gift need to realize what they’re doing before time runs out.

New Year's Day is coming

Ahh, New Year's Day. It's just exactly what it says it is: The new year. What's so exciting about a new year? Not a whole lot. However, it is supposed to be time that you spend with your friends and family. The real joy in a new year comes from being with those you love and those who love you. I just hope that this year's turnout isn't a prediction of the year to come.

Have fun with your friends and family folks.

Hey, if you're bored, then give me a call because I am too.

I think I've finally figured out why I like movies. It involves two things: What the movie teaches me and the fictional story in the movie. I can like a movie if only one of the requirements is filled, but a movie is not truly spectacular unless it teaches me something new or impressive, and its story is cool and fits well with what it teaches me.

A glitch in the Universe's physics engine.

I'm not a mathematical person. It's very hard for me to calculate numbers effectively, plus I'm lazy, so have trouble sitting down and thinking about math. I have little to no patience when it comes to dealing with numbers. This has always prevented me from wanting to take a physics class, and it will probably continue to be that way. However, just because I've had no professional instruction on the field of physics, that doesn't mean that I don't have at least a very basic understanding of the forces governing the realm so all-encompassing that I can't even begin to ponder the implications of such an area (that we all just so happen to be a part of[See 'Universe'])

Sometimes I think about things like this: Is it entirely impossible to witness a glitch in the physical forces that control our universe? Keep in mind that I've never seen something like this, I don't think that I may have seen this, and I don't claim to have seen it. I simply wonder about the wonders of physics, and if they could ever mess up(I mean something different than what I think you're thinking, and I'll explain later.)

I started thinking about this when I was skipping rocks across the river. I was comparing it to Tribes: Vengeance (which seems a little geekboyish, and it may be, but no matter.) because in Tribes, skiing very quickly and hitting a pool of water at a shallow angle will allow you to skip across the surface of the water. Since Tribes is a videogame, glitches are common, and that's exactly what this is: Skiing across the surface of the water without skipping and launching, just sliding across the surface. What I'm wondering is that if it's totally impossible for something of that nature (a glitch) to happen in real life.

I speak of a balance in physics so perfect that (here's an example) a rock, when projected towards the water, will not actually skip, but instead use the forces of things beyond human comprehension to do something seemingly impossible like sliding across the surface rather than actually skipping.

Something like that is possible in Tribes because being a piece of software, it's based on data, which is based on math. This makes me think of how our own world works. Are physics actually mathematically calculable? Or are they something different all together?

This is where it gets extremely difficult for me to explain, so try to bear with me. I have some sort of idea about how physics may be calculated. That, however, is just the thing: Physics can not be calculated. Even 1*10(to the negative infinity power) is still infinity times bigger than 0. I think physics is only actually "calculable" when all of what's between 1*10(to the negative infinity power) and 0 is used. This means that numbers can never accurately describe the forces of physics, which in turn means that physics can never actually be accurately calculated.

If physics aren't calculated with numbers, then a perfect balance is impossible.
That sucks, because my uneducated theory won't allow for a glitch (or perfect balance, if you'd prefer) to occur.

Oh well. A single physics course can probably disprove all of this, but it's fun to think about anyway.

I think I've finally gotten an idea about what I should do.

Over the next two years, I'm going to work and take community college classes. A simple, yet effective lifestyle.

After that, I'm going to consider joining the military. By then the 'war on terrorism' should have died down some, once again making it safe to enlist. I'm considering staying for 3 or 4 years.

In about 6 years, I should be out of the military with educational benefits. This will make college easier to pay for.

Hooray goals.
